We love the Polaris Patriot 850 and 9R platforms. They’re already leaders in top-end power, but we knew they could deliver more where it really counts — the bottom-end and midrange grunt for deep snow domination. Inspired by the legendary mid-2000s big bores, the 1000cc Stroker Kit brings back that aggressive torque curve, delivering a crisp hit from a standstill and serious pull through the entire powerband. When you install twins on a 9R/850 a few comment they feel a little less snort when you punch the throttle. You will not be debating the old twin pipe theories with any of our big engine kits.
With a gain of 45 HP from start to finish over stock 850, this is the smallest of our big bore kits — but arguably the most special. Based around the M1000 piston and designed with both naturally aspirated (NA) and Boosted applications in mind, the 1000cc Stroker is your go-to upgrade if you’re looking for unmatched throttle response and brute force power.

Crankcase Machining Options:
While the kit can technically run without crankcase machining, it is highly recommended machining during crank install to ensure peak reliability and performance:
- Transfer port case-matching
- Locating ring machining for triple bearing (can Loctite if not machining)
- Add gas/oil mix passages to PTO and MAG bearings — factory blanks these ports and relies solely on direct oiling
