Offsetting the rear arm on XM & Gen 4 sleds is a popular mod that adds numerous benefits especially when hillclimbing.
Riders testing this product have been able to let their limiter strap out to the stock position, enough to gain nearly 1″ of additional front shock travel while maintaining ski pressure, which is a huge advantage in all riding situations!
The ZMotion works by using the offset geometry to control transfer by making it more progressive. What this means is the rear suspension now has enough spring rate and rebound to keep you from getting stuck in that semi-wheelie position the stock rear suspension likes to get in. Keeping the skis down is usually done by tightening the springs up and tightening the limiter straps, both of which make for a harsher, unpleasant ride.
